Here is what is available:
Card of the Month kits:
My Design Team has come up with some fabulous samples for you using “Essential Stamps” and some products from my Scrapbooking Essentials BC store. If you have any questions regarding the products we use, please leave us a comment and we will be happy to answer your question.
I used the Nature’s Landscapes 1 stamp set again this week. I kept the card simple. Using a punched out circle, I created the illusion of a moon in the sky by sponging over top of it. The sky was sponged with Weathered Wood and Broken China distress inks and I left the bottom white. Over top of the white I sprayed Tsukineko Goose Bumps spray. It gave the white area a shimmer and slightly raised area (hence “Goosebumps!”). This gave the look of snow. The trees on the right were stamped in black ink. The trees on the left were random tree images (or a tree top!) of tree stamps in this set. The trees on the inside layer (bottom) which fold up to keep the easel standing were stamped with the mountain stamp on scrap paper and cut out. I made sure to leave a “snow portion” on the bottom which gets adhered to the card. You will also notice specks of “snow” on different portions of the trees and “ground”. I used Liquid Applique to create this effect.
I hope that you will take time to join in on the challenge this week. Don’t forget, that if you use an “Essential Stamp” stamp/set in your creation, your name will be entered in the monthly draw to win a set! Anyone can enter though just for fun! Use any products/stamps that you have on hand. The fun is in the creating.
Don’t forget to add a direct link to your blog when you post your creation! Happy stamping!

OK, better late than never. Somehow, I didn’t get last week’s (Jan 3rd) challenge card up on this website. (Does life get busy?!)
Last week was a sketch challenge. I kept my card simple and kept the details to the stamped image. I used Nature’s Landscapes 1 stamp set which is one of my favorites. This set has a real “West Coast” feel. I just used cardstock for this card and used brown and greens to keep with the Natural touch for my card. The edges were inked with Antique Linen Distress Ink and I further distressed the edges with a distressing tool.
The mountain image was stamped in Black Ink and chalks were used to colour it. The tree images on the same mountain stamp were inked with 2 different green inks and stamped on a piece of scrap paper than cut out. They were placed over the tree images on the main image using foam dimensionals. It’s hard to tell in the picture, but the mountain has a shimmer as the chalks used to colour in the mountain were shimmer chalks. It gave the mountain a snow-covered feel.
Here is the Nature’s Landscapes 1 stamp set. Any of the “Essential Stamps” sets can be ordered through the website’s on-line store. Shipping is available. Payment requests can be sent via Pay Pal.
If you have any questions, please feel to contact me anytime.

So, we just completed one full year of Monthly Memories double 12X12 layouts. The ladies who have taken the entire year with me are pleased and have requested another year!
There is still room in Monthly Memories, so if you would like to join us that would be great! The class is usually the 2nd Thursday of each month (there were only a few months where we scheduled on a different Thursday evening). The ladies who attended this evening all completed tonights class for FREE. If you take the entire year, the last month is FREE. You receive a step-by-step instruction sheet with a full-colour photo of the layout. If there is a class that you were not able to attend, you can just pick up the kit and complete the layout at home.
Here are photos of all of the layouts from 2011 just to give you an idea of what my scrapbook pages for this class are like.

So there is a whole 12 months of layouts. If this is something that you think that you would like to do, I am now taking registration for 2012. As classes are now being based on an approximate 5% savings for members, this is the fee schedule for 2012:
Members $15.00 + tax
Non-Members $15.75 + tax.
ONLY 5 4 spaces remaining!
Contact me ASAP if you would like to register: sbebc@shaw.ca
Happy Scrapping!

Today we have revealed Challenge #2 for December over at our Scrapbook Essentials BC Challenge Blog: http://sbebcchallenges.blogspot.com/
Here is Challenge #2:
The Design Team has come up with some fabulous samples for you using Essential Stamps. If you have any questions regarding the products we use, please leave us a comment and we will be happy to answer your question.
Here is my Challenge Card for this week:
I used Bazzill Cardstock as well as Basic Grey Picadilly (Cloth Feed Sacks) pattern paper. I dry embossed the yellow cardstock and just the left edge of the ivory cardstock with the Musical Flourishes embossing folder. The ribbon is the 5/8″ sheer/ruffled Turquoise May Arts ribbon. I created the flower by stamping the smallest butterfly image from the Whimsical Butterflies stamp set several times on spare pieces of ivory cardstock. I coloured the wings in with COPIC markers (Y0000, Y13, BG11, and BG13). I cut each wing out with scissors, folded each wing slightly and arranged to foam a flower. I put a dab of Diamond stickles glitter glue in the center of the flower and put a yellow translucent Dew Drop in the center. The edges of the papers were sponged with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tea Dye. The Butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch and the same glitter glue was applied to the surface of the small butterflies. The “Thanks” stamp was from the Whimsical Bird stamp set.
Don’t forget to go over to our Challenge Blog and check out all of the designers creations.
And Remember, you don’t need to use Essential Stamps to take part in the Challenges. If you do use our stamps, your name will go in a draw at the end of the month to win a FREE stamp set!

Hello fellow crafting friends!
I want to let you know about our NEW challenge BLOG! It has just gone live today so please make sure that you can access it. I now have my very own design team “Essential Designers” and I am so excited to see all of the creations that they will share with everyone. The design team will be using my stamp line “Essential Stamps” in their creations, but will also be using some different products that I carry too. Here is the address for our Challenge Blog: www.sbebcchallenges.blogspot.com or click this link to take you there: http://sbebcchallenges.blogspot.com/
Our challenges will begin on Tuesday, December 6th at 5am (PST). We hope you will join in and get sketchy with us! Each week there will be a NEW challenge.
Our first featured stamp set is Whimsical Butterflies (TW-WBF01) pictured on this post.
We hope that you will play along!
I would also like to introduce you to my “Essential Designers!”:

November is just about here and so is the start of our Card of the Month kit program. We are going to start the first session on November 28th of a 3 month series of Card of the Month kits that we are designing ourselves! Here is a picture of the 1st card in the November kit that I have created for you.
The November COTM kit will feature BoBunny’s Blitzen collection. Among some of the items in the kit are Bazzill cardstock for the card bases, BoBunny Blitzen 6X6 paper pad, BoBunny Blitzen 12X12 chipboard die cuts, bottle of stickles glitter glue and…….
Each kit includes colour photos of each card, step-by-step instructions as well as envelopes.
