Monthly Memories MAY kit
Pictured is May’s Monthly Memories layout.
This month’s layout features BoBunny’s Surprise! collection….I completed my layout using Red and Yellow. If you are just wanting to receive the kit, those will be the cardstock colours that you will receive in the kit. HOWEVER, if you attend one of the classes, YOU will be able to choose which background cardstock colour you would like to complete your layout with….please arrive a little early to choose your colour! There are many different colours within the pattern papers to choose from. Choosing your own colours may help your layout match a “birthday” theme colour or lend better to a “boy” or a “girl”.
In this layout, you will be cutting into the top layer of cardstock to create the frames. PLEASE bring a hobby knife/craft knife or exacto knife. I do have self-healing mats. (cutting of fingers not permitted lol!) The picture sizes that I used on this layout are:
2- 3X4verticals,
1- 4X6 vertical,….BUT of course these could be easily changed!~
Please bring the following to class or for when you make the kit:
- paper trimmer
- fine-tipped scissors
- hobby knife/craft knife or exacto knife
- adhesive of choice
- liquid adhesive
- Foam dimensionals
- Distress Inks: Red (I used Barn Door) OR a colour that will match the background cardstock that you choose.
- Sponge for inking
- Glossy Accents and/or clear stickles (OPTIONAL)
EXTRA KITS are available which include step-by-step cutting and adhering instructions. If you would like one, please let me know.

Monthly Memories April layout
This month’s Monthly Memories class is Thursday April 11th 6:30-8:30pm. Cost for the class (or kit) is $15.75 + tax for non-members/ $15 + tax for members.
Please bring the following to class:
- Paper trimmer
- Fine-tipped scissors
- adhesive of choice
- Very thin double-sided tape (suggested Sookwang 3mm tape )
- Foam dimensionals
- Distress Ink Gathered Twig (brown colour)
- Foam sponge for ink
- Hand-held paper distressor
**All of the listed supplies are in stock if you are needing any.
We will be adding bling to this layout. Please see the close up photo showing some of the bling, but it is so much better when viewed in person!
We are also using NEW May Arts 1 1/2″ Crushed Satin ribbon!
Photo sizes are:
- 1- vertical 5X7
- 3 – vertical 2X3

Monthly Memories March 2013
This month’s Monthly Memories class is Thursday March 7th 6:30-8:30pm. Cost for the class (or kit) is $15.75 + tax for non-members/ $15 + tax for members.
Please bring the following to class:- Paper trimmer
- Fine-tipped scissors
- adhesive of choice
- Foam dimensionals
- Delicate detailed border punch (one that does not cut too much of the paper off once it is punched. I used the Doily Lace border punch).
- Please see list of inks below
Here are the list of inks:
- Vintage Photo ink pad and sponge
- For the following inks, please bring the ink pads and a fingertip dauber or Q-Tip for EACH colour:
- Walnut Stain(Brown),
- Rusty Hinge (Rust orange colour)
- Shaded Lilac (pale lilac purple colour)
- Crushed Olive (a lighter olive green colour)
- Spun Sugar (light/pale pink)
- Wild Honey (light orange/yellow colour)
- Scattered Straw (yellow colour – but not bright yellow)
If you do not have these colours, you will be able to use mine. Once you see the pattern paper for the layout, you will understand why so many colours are needed! But, please if you do have ANY of the above colours, please do bring them. It will just make the class run much faster!

Monthly Memories FEB 2013
Pictured is February’s Monthly Memories layout.
This month’s layout features Carta Bella’s Beautiful Moments collection….yes Pinks and Reds just in time for Valentine’s. But please don’t think that it has to be love or even Valentine’s. This layout is well suited for many different themes.
We will be making paper flowers. The mats for the pictures can easily be changed on your layout. You can add more or make larger mats. But the ones that I used on this layout are:
1- 2X3 vertical,
1- 3X4 vertical,
3- 3X4 horizontals.
Please bring the following to class or for when you make the kit:
- paper trimmer
- scissors
- adhesive of choice
- Strong liquid adhesive
- Foam dimensionals
- Distress Inks: Red and Green (I used Fired Brick and Peeled Paint)
- 2 Sponges for inking (for the 2 colours)
- Simple border punch (not too detailed)
- Glossy Accents (OPTIONAL)

Thursday Jan 10th at 6:30pm is this month’s Monthly Memories scrapbook layout class.

This is a great layout to use for your Winter pictures or turn it into a Christmas layout. You will receive an entire 12X12 sheet FULL of Christmas and Winter words….the choice is yours!

Well, it’s time for one final Christmas layout! It will be held December 13th at the Monthly Memories layout class.
The layout features 3 different paper lines/companies (Basic Grey, Authentique & Carta Bella), Candi dots and Mesh ribbon.

Christmas Classes!
Christmas class are in the works at Scrapbook Essentials BC!
1st up is this month’s Monthly Memories. November’s kit features Basic Grey’s Aspen Frost collection. There will be fussy cutting and LOTS of bling!

Monthly Memories-Sept 2012
Well, summer is drawing to an end and we are getting back into the “art” of things!
My Monthly Memories layout class is this Thursday Sept 13th at 6:30pm. This month’s layout features Ruby Rock-it Arcadia collection. I have not used pale colours yet in my Monthly Memories and Thought that this collection would be perfect. This layout would be great for displaying photos from a Wedding, Anniversary, garden, baby girl, etc….maybe grandma!
